She finally stepped outside her apartment for the 1st time in a long time. She almost forgot how much she enjoyed the warmth of the morning sun on her skin. She smiled and sighed. It felt good to walk on the streets on a Sunday morning after days of being incognito. It felt even better to not have a care in the world, but it somehow felt strangely weird to not carry around that heavy baggage. But she figured, she has to learn to live without it really fast.

The past few days have been amazingly tiresome. It's not like she did not expect for it to happen, she knew it was coming, she was just in denial. But the clues were like posters on white walls, too obvious not to be seen.

The initial shock she suffered the night she walked away was wreaking havoc to her senses. She was not expecting the blow to be so powerful that it left her gasping that night, but letting go is something she mastered. She never admitted this to anybody, especially not to him—she fell in love with him despite the age difference, the antifans, and the many circumstances that surrounded them. She could not quite make it out how it happened, it now feels to her like it just did.

Last night, she realized she had to use her brain to see and not her heart. If she did otherwise, she would still be stuck in that room with eyes all puffy and a mind blowing headache. She stopped over analyzing things already. She has given up. It would have been better if his reason was the fans, the pressure, both their jobs, or his schedule. She could have insisted on fighting for their so-called relationship, but when he said he fell out of love, she only found the strength to let him go.

She turned in an unfamiliar block near her street. It was refreshing to discover something she never knew actually existed, like that unfamiliar block with unfamiliar people.

NOONA, YOU'RE HWANGBO, RIGHT?, a child, about 6 or 7 asked.

YEAH, YOU KNOW ME?, she stopped and asked the grinning child.

The kid nodded, YEAH, YOU'RE MY MOM'S FAVORITE!!, he announced proudly.

She was grinning from ear to ear now, AH REALLY?

YESH, he talked with a lisp, SHE SAID YOU WERE STRONG AND YOU COULD FACE ANYTHING. SHE SAID YOU'RE THE GENERAL, he added and gave you a salute.

He was right, she was strong. And now, she's walking on, tall and proud. She can finally say that she is beginning to move on.

Life for her begins anew. Hwangbo Hyejung is finally set free from all those feelings. She's over him somehow, and only love knows how.
